Michele Holman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Oncology Social Worker. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work degree from Pittsburg State University. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois where she had a dual emphasis in both direct care and administration/policy. She graduated with honors including the Frank Itzin Award for Excellence in Field Placement due in part to the innovative supportive programming that she implemented within an oncology unit during her graduate level internship.
She has extensive experience working with individuals and families who are adjusting to chronic, terminal illness and or catastrophic injury. She is a highly valued member of multidisciplinary teams which have developed and implemented numerous supportive programming services to patients, families and local health care providers.
Michele is also one of our Corporate Wellness providers at Joy Miller & Associates. She has presented on an array of topics to local industry regarding stress management, grief and loss, and implementing change strategies for success.
Michele brings a unique expertise within medical specialty counseling and is pleased to be a part of Joy Miller & Associates to offer her unique skills and compassion to those who are adjusting to illness but also to anyone who is seeking assistance with anxiety, depression, self-esteem and stress management.
