John J. Hubbs LCSW, CADC, SAP has worked for over 15 years in a professional capacity throughout the state of Illinois with children, families, and adults. Jay is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Licensed School Social Worker, a Certified Addictions Counselor, and a Substance Abuse Professional. Jay graduated at the top of his class with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, emphasizing Psychology, and a Master’s in Social Work with a double major of Mental Health and Child Welfare.

A respected clinician in Peoria, he excels in working with difficult interpersonal issues, helping individuals see their own potential and develop a sincere outlook on life. Jay has specialized training in solution-focused therapy and approaches life's problems in a confident upbeat manner. His clients describe him as someone who is easy to talk to and someone who is always looking for solutions.

Jay takes pride in education and believes life is never ending journey of learning and growing. He has obtained a wide range of experiences allowing him to use a variety of resources and knowledge to help others achieve their goals. He currently serves as a child behavioral consultant to area childcare systems and has provided consultation to the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Illinois.

Jay is a nationally recognized provider for the Department of Transportation to complete approved Substance Abuse Evaluations. He has a solid history of working with various addictions and is a recognized speaker in the area of alcohol and drug dependency. He has done extensive work with family addiction issues and their impact on children.

Jay actively involves himself in the community with organizations such as the Red Cross, Rainbow Youth Outreach, Children's Home, UIC College of Medicine, including many professional organizations. In his personal time, he enjoys fatherhood, remodeling, teaching, and outdoor sports.
